Phil Jakeman leads FHI's work programme 8 focusing on nutrition solutions for healthy ageing. A metabolic biochemist, Phil is Professor of Exercise Science and Director of the Human Science Research Group at UL. He is also PI to UL's Human Body Composition Study. He is also PI to UL's Human Body Composition Study. His principal research interest is in the interaction of exercise and nutrition on the regulation of muscle, skeletal and fat mass in humans.
