At the organ level his research has especially focused on cardiac, muscle and liver pathology / toxicity, and at the subcellular level on intermediary metabolism, mitochondrial function, calcium homeostasis, and oxidative stress. His current favourite technological approaches are cell culture, high content analysis, flow cytometry, enzymology and immunoassay.
